Memory Wake
An exhibition of experimental printmaking and mixed media exploring the beauty and fragility of Maine’s ecosystems along its river and ocean landscapes.
Louise R Kerr is a visual artist with over 30 years of experience, inspired by nature, light, and the human connection to land and natural resources. With a background in Architecture and an MFA in Painting from the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, she has exhibited widely and is represented in collections across the USA, Canada, and the UK.
Based in Hallowell, Maine, Kerr’s recent work explores the delicate balance of local ecosystems through experimental printmaking, drawing, and mixed media. This selection of work reflects intricate patterns in native flora and fauna and conveys a deep emotional memory and sense of place, shaped by her year-round immersion in the outdoors. Through layering and innovative print techniques, the work invites viewers to consider their own relationship with nature and the immersive experience of the natural world.
