First Friday Poetry Reading
That's a wrap on Poetry Readings for 2025!
***See you in April 2026!***
Thanks to Dennis Camire for organizing and bringing in some really great poets to Hallowell over the last year - I've enjoyed the readings quite a bit and it has certainly changed my view on the medium, particularly having it read out loud. I "see" poetry now in a new light by hearing it - really great, inspirational.
I am happy to keep hosting here at The Blanchard Gallery and I know Dennis has already started booking poets for the 2026 First Friday of the month Poetry Reading season which we will continue in April!
(* There is also talks of doing a second poetry reading here on Sunday afternoons during the summer months for those who can't make the evening readings. That reading is currently being held at the Winthrop Bailey Public Library; we shall see if we can make that work .*)
