Meet The Owner

Christopher Paul Blanchard was born and raised in Maine. He began oil painting in 2016 while working at Slate's Restaurant in Hallowell. Since then, he has exhibited his work in various locations around the city including The Maine House, Bistro Milliard, and the Michel-Paul Artist Studio. He considers his greatest influences to be Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer, and Diego Velázques.

Blanchard opened The Blanchard Gallery at 172 Water Street in August of 2024. Through art exhibitions and community events, he aims to carry on the vibrant flame of artistic culture Hallowell has been known for.
